Subsite Background

Applications from Current Students

1.A student who has passed public, professional, or other examinations/tests recognised by the University or has successfully completed a course at an appropriate level offered by the University or another tertiary institution may apply for credit transfer/course exemption. Nonetheless, as noted under the “Applications from New Students upon Admission”, the transfer of credits upon admission should be a one-off exercise, and no subsequent transfer of credits will be approved during the course of the student’s study at Lingnan University except for newly gained qualifications after admission. Please refer to “Highlights of Relevant Academic Regulations” for more details.
2.For a student who has participated in an approved student exchange programme of Lingnan University, credits of recognised courses obtained from the partner institution will normally be transferred to his/her undergraduate degree programme at the University as approved by the Programme Director/Head of Department of his/her Major programme.
3.All exempted or recognised courses and the number of credits transferred will be shown in the student’s transcript. The actual grades/marks of recognised courses obtained in the partner institution will be shown in the transcript of the student, but will not be counted in the calculation of grade point averages.
