Admission Requirements (DBS)

• General Requirement

  An applicant should hold a Master's degree awarded by a recognized tertiary institution or have equivalent qualifications, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

   

• English Language Proficiency Requirement

  v    An applicant whose degree is not granted by a tertiary institution in Hong Kong, or an English-speaking country should pass ONE of the tests below to meet the English language proficiency requirement:

        Ø   IELTS   : minimum acceptable score of 6.0 or

        Ø   TOEFL : minimum acceptable score of 79 (internet-based test) , or

        Ø   minimum score of 450 or above in the College English Test Band 6 (CET-6), with proof of competency in spoken English

Notes:

• Student Visa

  The application requirements are the same for both local and non-local applicants. Non-local students studying in Hong Kong are required to apply for student visas or entry permit from the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Once admitted, the DBS Programme Office will help the students with the visa application.

• Research Interest 

  All applicants are required to submit a Research Interest about 400-500 words in English.

• Interview

  Applicants will be required to attend an interview (via online) conducted by the Programme Director for the Doctor of Business Studies programme (DBS) and one more faculty member.
