Information for Graduating Students
Your English and Chinese names (if applicable) recorded in the Banner system will be printed exactly as they appear on your official graduation certificate.
To ensure your certificate is accurate, please verify your personal details before the graduation evaluation cut-off date (see Important Dates).
How to Check Your Name Record:
1. Log in to the myLingnan Portal.
2. Navigate to Academic Matters > Student Services (under the Application for Academic Matters section).
3. Click on Personal Information > Student Name and Personal Particulars Displayed on Documents.
How to Request a Name Change:
If any change is necessary, you should submit the application for change of personal particulars together with the required supporting document(s) before the cut-off date for evaluation of graduation. Changes made after that date will not be incorporated into the graduation certificates.
Undergraduate Students: Please submit your update request via the myLingnan Portal > Academic Matters > Update of Personal Particulars (under the Application for Academic Matters section).
On the day of release of preliminary information on graduation, undergraduate students whose graduation eligibility is under consideration by the Undergraduate Examinations Board for approval can check the message via myLingnan Portal (https://myportal.ln.edu.hk > Academic Matters > Student Services > Student Records and Examinations > Message of Graduation Eligibility).
On the day of release of confirmed graduation information, undergraduate students who have fulfilled all graduation requirements and been approved to graduate may check their graduation information (including date of graduation (i.e. graduation approval date), Cumulative GPA, honours classification and Minor programme(s) if applicable) via myLingnan Portal (https://myportal.ln.edu.hk > Academic Matters > Student Services > Student Records and Examinations > Graduation Information).

Details about the annual Congregation will be provided on the Congregation website in due course.
Graduates are required to register their attendance for the Congregation during the registration period via a registration link sent to them by email. Late registrations are not entertained. As information about the Congregation will be sent to you by email, you are reminded to check your LU email accounts regularly.
