IICA-TDLE Project

The Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grant (TDLEG), with funds allocated to all UGC-funded Universities by the University Grants Committee (UGC), aims to support excellence in teaching and learning. This grant serves as an incentive for educators to adopt innovative practices and approaches to teaching and learning, particularly in the virtual teaching and learning (VTL) domain. Additionally, the TDLEG supports initiatives that have a strategic and systemic impact on the enhancement of teaching and learning quality, including those that have a wider reach and sustained impact.

The IICA-TDLE Project “Extending the Online Standards and Enhancing Professional Practices for Virtual Teaching and Learning”, involves four participating universities, with Lingnan University (LU) leading the initiative, in partnership with funding from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and in-kind support from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). The main objective of the project is to create an online toolkit resource that incorporates best practices and innovative teaching methods in virtual teaching and learning (VTL) and blended learning, making it available to teaching staff across all eight UGC-funded higher education institutions in Hong Kong.
