In this brand new learning hub, the Wi-Fi system utilizes the latest Wi-Fi 6E standard. With the new 6 GHz wireless band, Wi-Fi 6E extends equivalent Wi-Fi 6 capabilities into the 6 GHz band to allow greater efficiency, higher throughput, enhanced security, and lower interference. In addition, it will embed modern technologies and bring the possibility of true web scale, agility, and performance to wireless services by combining Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Microservices and Big Data Analytics. The system will also support AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) that identifies issues which are virtually impossible to be found by human efforts and provides root cause and prescriptive recommendations for trouble-shooting and correction.

Contemporary AV over IP infrastructure is used to provide cost-effective, agile, high-quality and low latency 4K60 video streaming for classes, conferences and seminars. The following facilities will also be available in each classroom:

  • A contemporary lectern installed with notebook computer, computer monitors, gooseneck microphone, handheld microphone and clip microphone, and a digital charger. A separate seat is also provided to lecturers.
  • 2x2 55” video wall displays
  • A ceiling mount confidence monitor for teachers
  • Wireless presentation system
  • AI-based tracking cameras for teacher's and students’ view
  • Ceiling microphones for hybrid teaching and discussion

In addition, an LED display wall constructed with 1.2mm pixel will be built in the Open Studio, which serves as an effective showing window for different kinds of educational, promotional or other events.

All these state-the-art technology and equipment will surely bring more diversified learning experience to students.  We all look forward to the opening of this flagship learning centre @ West Kowloon.
