Employer Survey 

Lingnan University (hereafter, Lingnan) conducted employer surveys every TWO years to gauge the performance of Lingnan undergraduates (UGs) for their employers. The data were collected via online and postal mail questionnaires. Target respondents were those who were responsible for hiring and/or supervising the Lingnan undergraduates, and companies which employed, or have employed (employed not less than 6 months) Lingnan undergraduates. 

For the latest 2020 survey, 129 valid responses were collected for analysis and reporting. A relatively higher proportion of respondents were from import/export, wholesale and retail trades (21%), followed by Information and Communication (12%), Transportation, Storage, Postal and Courier Services (11%) and Education (10%). 

Almost half of the employers (49%) were from local enterprises. The proportion of various company types was similar with the alumni survey in 2020. Employer sample was skewed towards small to medium sized enterprises (SME) when compared with the alumni sample.
