High Performance Computing (HPC) Platform

In alignment with the University’s initiatives to become a leading research institution in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, ITSC has been committed to expanding the High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform for students and faculty members in these fields.

HPC platforms are characterized by their robust CPU/GPU processing power, high-bandwidth and low-latency network connections, as well as large-capacity and high-speed data storage. ITSC is developing such a platform and has acquired several GPU servers to meet the University’s rapidly growing demand for HPC in teaching and research areas.

In addition, ITSC is supporting various academic departments in acquiring and installing their own HPC platforms. For example, several GPU HPC servers and InfiniBand high-speed switches requested by the School of Interdisciplinary Studies were shipped to the University in July 2024. The installation work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. Once operational, the HPC platform will facilitate the department in delivering the Master of Science in Cross-disciplinary Technologies as well as other research projects undertaken by their faculty members.
