LU Disaster Recovery Site
Mitigating Risks During Disasters
In the Lingnan campus staff tenant, a disaster recovery (DR) site has been set up for domain controllers (DCs) and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) in order to bring the following benefits to the University community:
Ensures business continuity by keeping critical services operational during failures, outages, or disasters, thereby providing seamless authentication and directory services uninterrupted.
Reduces downtime for users and applications by enabling failover to the DR site, making ADFS services accessible all the time for user authentication for web applications.
Enhances redundancy by distributing DCs and ADFS servers across different geographic locations, mitigating risks from natural disasters, power outages, or localized incidents.
