2) Friendly Reminders for New Non-local Students when they plan their travel to Hong Kong
Non-local students should make plans to prepare for your return to campus before the term starts and prepare your travel plan well in advance, taking into consideration the latest immigration restrictions for entry to Hong Kong imposed by the HKSAR Government, and allow for enough time to receive the required dosage of vaccine and undergo the compulsory quarantine, if applicable, before you return to campus. For updated information about the entry and quarantine requirements, please visit:
- Health Ouarantine Arrangements on Inbound Travellers: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/inbound-travel.html
- Return2hk Scheme: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/return2hk-scheme.html
- Come2hk Scheme: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/come2hk-scheme.html
You must be fully vaccinated, comply with the campus entry requirements, use the “LeaveHomeSafe” app upon entering the campus, and strictly adhere to the University’s COVID-19 preventive measures.
Under Stage Three of Vaccine Pass in Hong Kong implemented by the HKSAR Government, all persons aged 12 or above entering specified premises must have already received the third dose of vaccine (if after 6 months from 2nd dose and never been infected by COVID-19). As the University has implemented the same arrangement on campus, you are required to show your vaccination record in form of a QR code as your Vaccine Pass when entering the campus.
When you enter the campus, you are required to follow these two steps: (1) use the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile app to scan the campus’s QR code; and (2) show the Vaccine Pass/ Provisional Vaccine Pass which shows your vaccination record in form of a QR code and saved in the “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile app, to the QR Code Verification Scanner device at the University entrance for checking and recording.
