To strengthen students’ understanding of economic concepts outside of the classroom, an on-site visit to Sixfifteen Imports-Exports Ltd was held on 29 September 2021. Mr. Clement Yeung, the representative of the company, shared the production process of their ginger candies and the trading prospects between Indonesia and Hong Kong. Since the establishment of the company in 1935, Mr. Yeung and his colleagues have faced a lot of challenges over the past 86 years. He encouraged our students to explore different opportunities especially the initiatives brought about by the Belt and Road Initiative. All students participated actively in the discussion with Mr. Yeung, and they said that the site visit provided them with a better picture about the challenges and opportunities faced by an entrepreneur, enhancing their real-world problem-solving skills.
