Technology Adoption Model for Service-Learning
With the support of the Fund for Innovative Technology-in-Education (FITE), the Office of Service-Learning integrated generative AI and related technologies into various Service-Learning projects. The aim was to develop a Technology Adoption Model for Service-Learning within a liberal arts context.
Our findings indicate that the following factors strongly influence non-STEM students’ adoption of technology in Service-Learning:
- Perceived usefulness → enhanced through showcases
- Perceived ease of use → supported by training
- Intention to use → driven by project design
Based on these insights, the resource kit is designed to support course instructors by providing both showcases and training, thereby facilitating effective project design.
