This tour aims to provide important information about library facilities and services for new students to plan for their study, research and group projects.

At the end of the tour, students will be able to familiarise with the library and its resources and services; and effectively use the library catalogue and / or databases to find resources on a particular topic.

This tour aims to offer new students an opportunity to interact with current students and learn about campus life while visiting essential facilities and interesting places on campus.

At the end of the tour, students will be able to:

• get acquainted with the essential facilities on campus; reveal the history or background of certain Lingnan landmarks; and
• understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement on campus.

This workshop aims to provide an engaging platform for participants to mingle with other new students from diverse backgrounds, manage their expectations in hostel conflicts, and obtain tips on adapting to a new residential experience through experiential games and learning Cantonese.

At the end of the workshop, students will be able to:

• embrace and appreciate the diversity of people from different backgrounds;
• embrace resilience in a new residential environment in the face of potential challenges; and
• learn useful tips for adapting to a new residential life and learn survival Cantonese for non-local student sessions.

This session aims to introduce the sports facilities at Lingnan University and the fitness room user guide for obtaining the right to use the fitness room on campus.  Additionally, a guided tour of the sports facilities will be arranged for new students to familiarise themselves with the sports venues on campus.

By the end of the session, students will be able to:

• understand how to safely use the fitness room;
• obtain the necessary access rights to utilise the fitness room on campus;
• obtain the certificate of proof, upon request, for applying for using the fitness room under Leisure and Cultural Services Department; and
• familiarise themselves with the various sports venues available on campus.

This session is designed to provide new students with essential information about the various scholarships and awards available at Lingnan and to help them navigable the financial resources that can support their academic journey and enhance their overall experience at the University.

At the end of the session, students will be able to:

• grasp a glimpse of scholarships and awards available; and
• learn about the eligibility requirements, application procedures, and keys for scholarship applications.
