Business Education for Service: My Career Path from Wall Street back to China

On February 17, 2025, the Taught Postgraduate Programmes Office (TPO) of the Faculty of Business at Lingnan University held the second session of the Executive Speakers Forum for the academic year 2024/25. The TPO is honoured to have Dr. LI Shan, Chairman and CEO of 3TU Technologies, Visiting Committee Member of MIT Economics Department, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Bauhinia Party, as the keynote speaker for the second guest lecture of the Executive Speakers Forum.

Dr. LI’s topic was "Business Education for Service: My Career Path from Wall Street back to China". In the lecture, Dr. LI recounted his journey from academia to the Wall Street and how he decided to return to China to contribute to the establishment of China’s financial infrastructure. He also shared the challenges and opportunities he encountered in his career, encouraging students to bravely pursue their dreams and be prepared for various future possibilities. The young people present are the future of the nation and the hope of the country.

After the speech, students eagerly asked questions, engaging in in-depth discussions with Dr. Li Shan on personal development, industry trends, and other topics. Facing the enthusiasm of the students, Dr. Li Shan patiently answered their questions and urged everyone, "No matter where you are, always strive to improve yourself, and actively contribute to society”.
