TPg Career Week 2026: Event Highlights
From 2–6 March 2026, the Taught Postgraduate Programmes Office of the Lingnan University Faculty of Business hosted a week‑long TPg Career Week designed to empower students with clearer career direction, stronger job‑seeking skills, and confidence to navigate the competitive job market. Through a series of practical and interactive activities, postgraduate students gained valuable insights and hands‑on experience to prepare for their next career milestone.
1. Consultation with Programme Directors
Personalised guidance for clearer career paths
Programme Directors provided face-to-face consultations, addressing students’ questions on industry trends, career options across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, and aligning academic learning with professional goals. Their tailored advice helped students refine their positioning, avoid common job‑search pitfalls, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
2. Training Session on Preparation of CVs and Job Interviews
Sharpening fundamentals for job‑search success
Career consultant Mr. Albert Kwok delivered an intensive workshop on crafting impactful resumes and mastering essential interview techniques. Students learned how to highlight strengths, align experiences with job requirements, and communicate effectively across common business interview formats.
3. Mock Interview Sessions
Real‑world practice with expert feedback
To help students apply their new skills, faculty members conducted mock interviews simulating real hiring scenarios. Students received detailed feedback on their performance, gaining practical insights that strengthened both their confidence and competitiveness in future applications.
4. Guest Talk: Dress for Success: Mastering Executive Presence and Professional Image
Building a polished and professional presence
Internationally credentialed colour consultant Ms. Lydia Wan led an engaging session on workplace dress codes and professional etiquette. Through demonstrations and scenario‑based examples, students learned how to present themselves confidently in interviews, business meetings, and daily office settings.
5. Alumni Sharing Sessions
Learning from real‑world career journeys
Distinguished alumni from various business disciplines returned to campus to share their career stories, industry perspectives, and practical advice.
