ICAC Talk for Tertiary Students 2024/25

On November 11, 2024, Lingnan University invited the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to host a Talk for university students. We were honoured to have Ms. Hannah Leung, Community Relations Officer of the ICAC, share important insights on integrity and anti-corruption.

The speaker emphasized the importance of professional integrity in modern society. She pointed out that only by maintaining integrity can we create a fair and transparent social environment.

During the talk, the speaker also provided an in-depth analysis of the legal definition of corruption. She explained what constitutes corruptive behaviours such as bribery and listed relevant legal provisions, helping students understand what actions are considered illegal, and shared some real-life corruption cases, which not only provoked deep thought but also served as a warning for everyone to stay vigilant in their daily lives and work, and to adhere to the principles of integrity.

This talk not only gave students a deeper understanding of integrity and anti-corruption but also enhanced their legal awareness and sense of social responsibility. We hope that through activities like this, the spirit of integrity can be further promoted, contributing to the building of a cleaner social environment.

We extend our sincere thanks to the ICAC for the excellent presentation and to all the teachers and students who participated in this talk. Let us take pride in integrity and shame in corruption, and together embrace a brighter future!
