RPg programmes

The University places great emphasis on the inter-relationship between teaching and research, and currently offers MPhil and PhD programmes in Arts, Business, Science and Social Sciences disciplines. Apart from having a strong international faculty in all the research areas it covers, the University offers close and supportive thesis supervision ensured by student-centred learning, which is one of its core values. At Lingnan, students establish close peer-type working relationships with academics in their departmental homes. To offer more diversified learning opportunities, especially for interdisciplinary research studies, the University has also been offering full-time PhD programmes in collaboration with universities outside of Hong Kong.

In addition, the University offers generous funding support to RPg students, some of which on a competitive-basis, including studentship, conference/field trip sponsorships, overseas research visits scholarships, etc., for facilitating their participation in various scholarly, academic/research-related, exchange and experiential learning activities, and enhancing their student learning experience.
