Through stakeholder engagement, business planning, and value added product development, the initiative boosts income, reduces waste, and promotes sustainable aquaculture, offering a replicable model that benefits both communities and marine ecosystems.

A collaborative project in Tingloy, Philippines is developing an intelligent rainwater harvesting system using IoT sensors and AI to monitor climate and water use patterns. Through site studies and community engagement, students created a sustainable filtration prototype that enhances clean water access, strengthens infrastructure resilience, and improves community well being.

Supported by the Environment and Conservation Fund, the Hong Kong Ocean Environmental Pioneer Academy trains individuals to promote water pollution prevention. Through workshops and community events, the Academy raises awareness and fosters collaboration, ensuring sustainable management of water resources while engaging approximately 2,400 participants in vital sanitation practices.

To improve water quality and encourage community participation, Lingnan University has installed new filtered touchless drinking fountains across the campus. Since their installation in September, these fountains have saved over 48,000 plastic bottles, promoting health and environmental sustainability while ensuring accessible water and sanitation for all.
