Lingnan University conveys deep condolences and sympathy over the No. 5 alarm fire in Tai Po

Lingnan University expresses our profound sorrow over the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, and conveys our deepest condolences to the victims, the firefighter who lost his life, the families of the deceased, and all members of the community affected by the incident. The University also wishes those injured a speedy recovery.

During this difficult time, the University’s Counselling Team is ready to provide emotional support services to members of the University community who may be distressed following the incident.

The University urges anyone feeling unsettled, stressed, or affected by the incident to seek help promptly from teachers, counsellors, or other professionals. The University also encourages students to support and care for one another as we face this challenging period together. The University will continue to closely monitor the needs of the Lingnan community and remain committed to providing appropriate care and support.
