Lingnan University appeals for donations to support victims of the Tai Po fire

In the wake of the tragic No. 5 alarm fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Lingnan University expresses our deepest condolences to all those affected by this devastating incident. Our hearts go out to the victims, the brave firefighter who lost his life, the families of the deceased, and all members of the community enduring this difficult time. We also extend our sincere wishes for a full and speedy recovery to those injured.

Over the past few days, the University has activated our emergency communication network and made contact with students and staff residing in or near Wang Fuk Court; all have been confirmed safe and have been offered support, including temporary accommodation if needed.

To provide further support for the victims and their families, the University encourages all members of Lingnan University to consider making a donation to the government's Support Fund. The government has established the following designated bank accounts for donations:
