LUCSSA raises funds and donates essential medical supplies to Wuhan

In response to the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan in February, the Lingnan University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (LUCSSA) launched a fundraising campaign to alleviate the shortage of medical supplies threatening frontline staff and patients in Wuhan hospitals.

Within 48 hours, the Association had received nearly HK$13,000 in donations from students, which were promptly used to purchase medical hoods, protective clothing, shoe covers and disposable underwear. With the support of transportation fee from the commercial sector, the materials were delivered immediately to five major hospitals and medical centres in Wuhan.
