JUPAS applications surge by 38% with Animation and Digital Arts topping LU’s programme choices

In the first round application deadline for the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) exercise in 2022/23, LU recorded a 37.8 per cent increase in the number of applications, the most of the eight UGC-funded universities. Band A and Band B applications saw a significant 37.4 and 32.5 per cent boost respectively.

 

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Animation and Digital Arts programme, the new undergraduate course included in JUPAS this year, was the most sought after LU programme, with 25 students competing for a place. The five most popular LU programmes in terms of applications from Band A candidates are Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Animation and Digital Arts, Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) – Psychology, Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) Sociology, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) – Health and Social Service Management.
