DBA students visit HK01 office to learn about the media industry

Thirty members of the Lingnan faculty and students from the Doctor of Business Administration in Global Digital Economy and Governance visited local online news portal HK01’s office on 15 December to hear about the latest trends in the media industry and exchange with media experts.

HK01 representatives Andrea So, Director and Chief Executive Officer, and Zz Lee, Senior Director of Product and Project, talked about the scope of their operations, and innovative technology development in Hong Kong. Manson Chum, Senior Director of Digital Ops of HK01 and also an alumnus of Lingnan University, provided insights into local new media development. They also described the company’s business growth, strategic content, social media, and user experience.

A roundtable discussion was hosted by Lingnan alumnus and Graduate School Adjunct Assistant Professor Michael So afterwards to discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by the media industry in view of AI development and use.
