Lingnan volunteers visit Tuen Mun elderly – to cheer them and celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival

On 30 May, about 20 volunteers from Lingnan visited 153 elderly people who live near the LU campus, and distributed gift bags with rice dumplings and necessities such as rice and cooking oil to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.

 

Partnered with Fu Tai Neighbourhood Elderly Centre of The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, the Home Visit - The Elderly in Tuen Mun event is part of the LU Community Service Programme which aims to reinforce the wellbeing and sense of belonging of older adults, particularly those living alone and immobile, by face-to-face interaction, and to offer help to those in need.
