Lingnan University Faculty of Business participates in the 2025 Ministry of Education Exchange Programme for Tertiary Education between Mainland China and Hong Kong-Macau and the Elite Training Camp on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Shenzhen

The faculty and students from Lingnan University’s Faculty of Business took part in the 2025 Ministry of Education Exchange Programme for Tertiary Education between Mainland China and Hong Kong-Macau and the Elite Training Camp on Innovation and Entrepreneurship from 16 to 23 July. The training camp was organised by the Greater Bay Area International Institute for Innovation, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Centre, the Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs of Shenzhen University, and the College of Management, Shenzhen University, and designed for students from universities in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau. The programme included scientific and technological innovation and literacy, entrepreneurial skills training, and expanding original thinking. This year, the event was attended by over 70 students and teachers from Lingnan University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Macau, the Macau University of Science and Technology, the Macao University of Tourism, Shenzhen University and the Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology.

This year's training camp focused on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and included lectures by industry expert, visits to companies such as Tencent, a science and technology innovation forum, practical training, and project roadshow competitions. These activities support exchanges and cooperation between Mainland China and Hong Kong and Macau universities in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, and encourage young people from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau to learn, make friends, and progress together.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of all the universities discussed their progress and challenges in entrepreneurship, highlighting the importance of the training camp as a platform for collaboration and the cultivation of future talents in the Greater Bay Area. Attendees interacted actively, creating a warm on-site atmosphere.

The training camp provided project roadshow competitions simulating entrepreneurial environments, where mentors guided students and showed them the usual challenges and issues encountered in the entrepreneurial process, giving them valuable experience in establishing a solid foundation for the future. The competitions helped to enhance participants' abilities, broaden their horizons, and prepare them for their future careers, inspiring them to explore innovation and entrepreneurship, and also offering more opportunities and encouraging a stronger dynamic in entrepreneurial development in the Greater Bay Area.
