Lingnan University Undergraduate Admissions website wins its second international prize in 2025.
Lingnan University’s Registry is proud to announce that its new Undergraduate Admissions website has won a Silver Medal at the prestigious 20th Annual w3 Awards 2025, judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), whose members are global industry leaders such as Walt Disney Studios, Netflix, IBM, Deloitte Digital and LG. This is the website’s second international prize since it was launched this February.
Widely recognised as one of the world’s premier awards for creative excellence in digital content and user experience, the w3 Awards receives thousands of submissions from across the globe. Lingnan University is one of only 12 universities worldwide to be honoured with a Silver Award in the Websites – Schools & Universities category.
AIVA Managing Director Lauren Angeloni said “This year’s honourees represent the very best of creativity, innovation and storytelling in the digital space, and we’re so proud to recognise their work as part of the 20-year legacy of the w3 Awards.”
Leading the way in digital engagement for prospective students, the Registry’s Undergraduate Admissions Office has been commended for its originality, accessibility, and user-centred design. In addition to the w3 Silver Award, the website has previously won the Award of Excellence (Gold) at the 31st Annual Communicator Awards for its outstanding contribution to best practices in admissions in the digital era.
Ms Margaret Cheung, Registrar of Lingnan University, said “Receiving the w3 Silver Award affirms our ongoing resolve to provide students with an intuitive, engaging digital admissions experience. We are deeply honoured by this latest international recognition, which motivates us anew to set benchmarks for excellence in higher education outreach.”
Beyond these tributes, Lingnan’s Registry continues to exemplify the University’s commitment to excellence in digital-era admissions and recruitment, as demonstrated by its second place for the Best Overseas Admissions Team (Overall) at the inaugural Ecctis Awards 2024, and winning the Student Recruitment Campaign of the Year at the 2023 Times Higher Education Asia Awards. Looking ahead, Lingnan remains dedicated to enhancing its digital presence and developing its recruitment strategies to meet the ever-changing needs of prospective students.
