Lingnan University Faculty of Business ranks 24th in Greater China for UTD24 Journal Publications, marking a new leap in international academic influence

Recently, the 2025 statistical results of papers published by Chinese scholars in UTD24 journals were officially released. With the publication of 11 academic articles in 24 top business academic journals (UTD 24 journals), Lingnan University’s Faculty of Business is ranked the 24th among institutions in Greater China (including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan region), marking a significant breakthrough in the Faculty’s research strength and international influence in the global business field and earning authoritative recognition.

UTD24 journals, selected by the University of Texas at Dallas, cover core business disciplines such as management, operations, marketing, and finance. As a globally recognised top benchmark for evaluating business research, the number of papers published and the rankings directly reflect an institution’s academic strength. Statistics show that in 2025, Chinese scholars published a total of 618 papers in UTD24 journals, accounting for 23.36 per cent of the global total output and maintaining a steady growth momentum. With the publication of 11 high-quality papers in UTD24, Lingnan University’s Faculty of Business is ranked the 24th in Greater China (including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan region) alongside renowned universities such as the Central University of Finance and Economics and the University of International Business and Economics, fully embodying the Faculty’s "small but elite" educational characteristics and solid research capabilities.

This achievement stems from the Faculty’s long-term commitment to academic innovation. Lingnan University’s Faculty of Business has been continuously recruiting world-class faculty, actively building interdisciplinary research platforms, and maintaining regular academic cooperation with prestigious overseas universities, such as the University of Southern California and the University of British Columbia, ensuring that its research teams keep pace with international cutting-edge trends. Meanwhile, closely focusing on contemporary themes such as digital transformation and sustainable development, the Faculty has centred its research on key areas including digital business and green operations, producing a series of outstanding achievements with both theoretical value and practical significance.
