Lingnan University showcases research outcomes advancing film education and creative technology integration at FILMART

The Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries (DACI) at Lingnan University showed a number of research outcomes demonstrating their latest developments in film education, virtual production, and creative technology to industry professionals at FILMART from 17 to 20 March. The featured projects included CineSim, CineSim VR, and StorySketcher: A Multi-Agent AI System for Child-Led Co-Creative Narratives, confirming DACI’s ability to integrate art, technology, and innovative teaching.

CineSim is a film production simulation system that allows students to learn about camera movement, lighting design, and scene composition in a virtual environment, enhancing their visual storytelling and production skills. CineSim VR also incorporates virtual reality technology, enabling users to experience the filmmaking process in a more immersive way, and bringing richer interactive learning possibilities to film education.

StorySketcher: A Multi-Agent AI System for Child-Led Co-Creative Narratives combines artificial intelligence with narrative design to encourage children to use their imagination and enjoy the process of storytelling, highlighting the potential of technology in education and imaginative development.

In this way, DACI hopes to strengthen its connections with the film and  creative industries, establish its achievements in research and teaching, and continue to develop film technology, creative education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
