Lingnan University Rugby Team claims 2nd Runner-up in the mixed group at the Tertiary Touch Championship 2026

Organised by Hong Kong China Rugby, the Tertiary Touch Championship 2026 was successfully held on 25 April at King’s Park, Kowloon. The tournament attracted participation from six tertiary institutions, including The University of Hong Kong, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Vocational Training Council, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and Lingnan University.

Lingnan athletes demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship on the field, ultimately taking home the 2nd runner-up title in the mixed group. 

"As the team leader, I am incredibly proud that the Lingnan University Rugby Team secured third place in the 2026 Tertiary Touch Rugby Championship Mixed Division. This accomplishment is a testament to our unity, perseverance, and commitment throughout the season. Every training session, tactical discussion, and moment of encouragement strengthened our bond as a team. Although we faced tough opponents and setbacks, we remained focused and resilient. This achievement belongs to every player who gave their best on and off the field. It also motivates us to keep improving, aim higher, and continue building a supportive and competitive team culture together," said Hui Tsz-nam, Year 4 student of BA (Hons) Chinese.
