LU honours outstanding faculty and staff for research excellence and knowledge transfer impact
On 22 September, LU hosted the Research & KT Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony 2022-cum-Mini-Exhibition of Knowledge Transfer/Entrepreneurship to commend the achievements of Lingnan staff in academic research and knowledge transfer projects that raise the community’s quality of life and contribute to society in general.
Over 70 awards were presented under the categories of Research Output Excellence Award, Young Researcher Output Award, and Research & Knowledge Transfer Fund Award. Honorable guests attending the event included Research Grants Council Chairman Prof Wong Yuk-shan; University Grants Committee Secretary-General Prof James Tang; LU Council Chairman Andrew Yao Cho-fai and Deputy Council Chairman Augustine Wong Ho-ming; Council and Court members Dr Fok Wing-huen and Carrie Leung Ka-lai; and Jessica Tam, Head of Social Enterprise Business Centre, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service.
An LU student team performed a lion dance, and key Lingnan knowledge transfer activities were also featured at the event.
