Online exhibition of South Korea's cinematic collaboration with Hong Kong

Prof Lee Sang Joon, Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries (DA+CI), has curated an online exhibition titled 'History of Korea-Hong Kong Co-Production: The Influence of Exchanges with the Hong Kong film industry on Korean films'.

 

As part of the Korean Film Archive's Google Arts and Cultures online exhibition series, it explores South Korea's cinematic collaboration with Hong Kong, from transnational coproduction Love with an Alien (1957) to the espionage thrillers, war films, historical epics, and kung fu films that flourished in the 1960s and ‘70s, and the 1980s Hong Kong cinema syndrome in South Korea.
