Lingnan organises the 25th and 26th Seminars for Senior Administrators from East Guangdong Region

Lingnan University and the Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations co-organised the 25th and 26th Seminars for Senior Administrators from the East Guangdong Region on campus from 8 to 14 October and 15 to 21 October respectively. There were 12 senior administrators from Chaozhou and the Hanshan Normal University took part in each of the two seminars, “Social Construction and Cultural Conservation” and “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Talent Development”.

Experts and academics from diverse fields were invited to share their knowledge and experience, and the University also arranged guided tours of heritage sites and field trips to technology incubation centres, including Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Ping Shan Heritage Trail, Cyberport, and Hong Kong Productivity Council. There were also lectures at the new learning hub Lingnan@WestKowloon in the M+ Tower, which officially opens in the 2023/24 academic year.

There was positive feedback from the senior administrators, who agreed that the seminars had promoted cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and the Mainland. With generous support from the Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations, the seminars aim to encourage and increase knowledge exchange between local and Mainland senior administrators.
