Lingnan University and the Tuen Mun District Police organise “Crisis Management on Campus” talk

Lingnan University and the Tuen Mun District Police Community Relations Office jointly organized a talk on “Crisis Management on Campus” on 8 December. Mr Wilfred Wong, Superintendent and Deputy District Commander of the Tuen Mun District, Madam Dorothy Nieh, Chief Officer of the Police Negotiation Cadre and Dr Lau Wing-man, Clinical Psychologist of the Psychological Services Group from the Hong Kong Police Force were invited as guest speakers. Prof Li Donghui, Associate Vice-President (Student Affairs), Director of Student Affairs, and about 50 colleagues from the Warden’s Office, Office of Student Affairs, Office of Campus Development and Management and other offices attended.

 

The talk gave Lingnan staff an opportunity to understand crisis management and learn how to cope with crises. The talk also promoted cooperation between Lingnan University and the Tuen Mun District Police Force in cultivating a caring culture on campus.
