The second event of the 2017-18 “Concerts@Lingnan” series was presented by the Wong Bing Lai Music and Performing Arts Unit on 19 October at Leung Fong Oi Wan Art Gallery at Lingnan. The series is part of the University’s endeavour to enrich the music culture on campus. To enhance Lingnan’s liberal arts education and to serve the community, the University continues to offer various performing arts events and expand course offerings in arts-related subjects.
The concert, entitled “Peter Phillips Conducts Tallis Vocalis”, was presented to some 200 audiences. The Tallis Vocalis performed contrasting repertoires from the Renaissance to the 20th century periods under the baton of the renowned conductor Mr Peter Phillips. Mr Phillips also introduced the background of these repertoires during the performance.
