Outstanding Lingnan students obtain HSBC Scholarships
Three undergraduate students of Lingnan and two higher diploma students of Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) were awarded HSBC Scholarships 2017/18 in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements, involvement in community service and extra-curricular activities. The Scholarships are donated by the Hongkong Bank Foundation and will provide support to students to unleash their potential and contribute to the sustainable growth of Hong Kong. The scholarship recipients are:-
HSBC Hong Kong Scholarships
- Cheung Yin-ying (Accounting Year 4)
- Chu Tsz-hei (History Year 4)
- Wong Tsing-sum (Psychology Year 4)
HSBC Vocational Education Scholarships
- Afsar Bilal (Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership Year 1)
- Ngai Ka-yu (Higher Diploma in Fitness Training and Management Year 2)
The HSBC Scholars Day 2018 was held on 15 June in the presence of Lingnan representatives including Ms Jenny Ko Lai-fong, Director of Student Services, Mr Eric Wong Lik-chu, College Lecturer of LIFE and the scholarship recipients of this year. With the support of the Scholarships, the students are encouraged to strive for excellence and make contribution to the betterment of the society.
