Lingnan University ranks second worldwide for 'Quality Education' in THE University Impact Rankings 2020

Lingnan University has come in second worldwide for "Quality Education" in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings 2020.

 

The Quality Education category assesses a university’s contribution to early years and lifelong learning, its pedagogy research, and its commitment to inclusive education.

 

LU also excels in other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations - “No Poverty” and “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, ranking 48th and 71st respectively.

 

Overall, LU is ranked 101-200 among more than 850 universities from 89 countries and regions in the exercise, which assessed the social impact of universities around the world based on the SDGs.

 

LU President Professor Leonard K Cheng said: “Thanks to the excellent work and continuous efforts of the University community, the overall results of this ranking exercise are spectacularly impressive. We shall continue to nurture future leaders through the finest teaching and learning, and to better serve the community by conducting impactful research and providing meaningful services, thus making further contributions to Hong Kong and beyond.”
