Lingnan welcomes over 4,600 new undergraduates and postgraduates worldwide

This academic year, Lingnan University held orientation days for undergraduate and postgraduate students on 26 and 29 August 2024 respectively, welcoming over 1,300 new undergraduates and more than 3,300 new postgraduate students.
The incoming postgraduate students for the 2024/25 academic year are pursuing taught postgraduate/ doctoral degree and MPhil/ PhD programmes from around the world, and show an approximate 40 per cent increase over last year's 2,400 students, setting a new record. This diverse group hails from many countries and regions, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico, Ghana, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and Myanmar.
Lingnan has been offering a variety of online and face-to-face orientation activities since early August, providing freshmen with essential information and support networks to facilitate a smooth transition into university life at the beginning of their academic journey.
Lingnan warmly welcomes over 1,300 local, Mainland Chinese and overseas undergraduate freshmen during the New Student Orientation Programme 2024 and Official Welcome organised by the Office of Student Affairs.
The Postgraduate Student Orientation 2024 was hosted by the School of Graduate Studies at Chan Tak Tai Auditorium for a record high of over 3,300 new postgraduate students.
