Lingnan-60 receives over 3,000 applications from all over the world, and welcomes over 20 leading scholars, including Prof Richard Walker
Lingnan University’s Lingnan-60 Global Talent Recruitment Campaign will appoint over 60 leading scholars in interdisciplinary fields as tenured or tenure-track faculty members, propelling the University's digital advancements in teaching and research. Since its launch in January 2024, the University has received more than 3,000 applications from all over the world, resulting in over 20 appointments so far of prominent STEM scholars and Stanford World Top 2% scientists.
One of these is Prof Richard Walker, warmly welcomed by Lingnan University in October 2024. Prof Walker is the Head and Chair Professor in the Department of Government and International Affairs, and also Director of the Lingnan University Institute for Advanced Study (LUIAS). Known for his expertise in Public Administration and Public Management, Prof Walker was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (UK) in 2020. He has been one of Stanford's Top 2% most cited scientists since 2020, and ranked first across China in the field of Political Science by Research.com. In the latest Top 2% classification, Prof Walker holds the top position in Hong Kong in his academic field of Political Science and Public Administration.
