Lingnan University and Peking University strengthen ties with a collaborative Memorandum of Understanding

Prof S. Joe Qin, President and Wai Kee Kau Chair Professor of Data Science of Lingnan University, led a delegation to Peking University (PKU) on 30 September 2024, where he and Prof Gong Qihuang, President of Peking University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Lingnan University and Peking University. During the visit, they held discussions regarding cooperation and international exchanges. Prof Fang Fang, Vice President of PKU and member of the Standing Committee of PKU Party Committee, was also present.
Within the agreed cooperation framework, both parties intend to collaborate in areas such as student and staff exchanges, visiting scholar programmes, cultural exchange activities, research cooperation, and joint and short-term training. Lingnan University had previously signed a student exchange agreement with PKU's Yuanpei College, and this new MoU represents an upgrade to inter-university cooperation, a milestone in the direct partnership between Lingnan University and PKU.
