Lingnan University Institute of Policy Studies receives the certificate of Appreciation of Volunteer Service from the Hospital Authority New Territories West Cluster

Lingnan University Institute of Policy Studies (IPS)’s Jockey Club Gerontechnology and Smart Ageing in Place Project team, has been working closely with the Hospital Authority New Territories West Hospital Cluster. In 2024, the team set up a Gerontech exhibition corner in Tuen Mun Hospital to show the public and caregivers different uses of gerontechnology. In addition, the team recruited Lingnan University students as Gerontech ambassadors to inform the public and promote gerontechnology.

Recently, the team was invited by the New Territories West Hospital Cluster to their "Volunteer Recognition Ceremony", and presented with the certificate of Appreciation of Volunteer Service. The IPS thanked the volunteers and students for their dedication and for disseminating information on gerontechnology within the community, benefitting a larger audience and showing how practical knowledge can be applied.
