The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) organised its annual Inno-GBA Seminar: Revolutionising Education with Generative Technologies on campus on 8 April. The series, held in a hybrid mode, brought together leading artificial intelligence (AI) scholars from the Greater Bay Area to discuss how AI can best stimulate innovation in teaching, and improve students' academic performance from real-life case studies.
Lingnan University’s Jockey Club Gerontechnology and Smart Ageing in Place Project held the "Silver Tech Symposium" at Lingnan@WestKowloon on 1 April. Co-organised by the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, it established a platform for exchanging ideas, exploring opportunities arising from the silver market, and discussing how to enhance the quality of life of the elderly. Over a hundred professionals, industry leaders, and community representatives from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area participated in person or virtually, including Ms Gilly Wong, Chief Executive of the Consumer Council, and Mr Anthony Lam, Executive Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Chairman of the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council.
Lingnan University Library signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fudan University Library in March to foster a closer partnership, harness complementary strengths, and facilitate in-depth exchanges across many academic and professional domains. According to the MoU, both libraries will collaborate in four key areas: professional exchanges between librarians, specialised training for library and information professionals, the joint organisation of cultural activities that benefit the personal growth of students from both universities, and the joint development and use of special collections and digital resources.
