Lingnan University Science Unit celebrates its 10th anniversary with an interdisciplinary exhibition – “Think Outside the Box”
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Science Unit (SU) of Lingnan University, the SU was holding an exciting interdisciplinary exhibition “Think Outside the Box” at the Leung Fong Oi Wan Art Gallery. Scientists had collaborated with artists to present their ceramics, photography, illustrations, installations, and more. The exhibition would be a very special celebration of the Science Unit’s research over the past ten years.
The exhibition is curated by Lingnan University alumnus Duncan Yiu, co-founder of Seika Studio. 11 scholars from the SU selected topics based on their own areas of interest in Hong Kong’s ecological issues, including sustainability, urban development, and ecosystem research in terrestrial, marine, and freshwater habitats. Seika Studio then paired each scholar with an artist, and they worked together to explore these local environmental concerns.
