LU athletes win three gold medals at USFHK Taekwondo Competition and Annual Athletic Meets

In the recent USFHK Taekwondo Competition, Chan Po Sang (Year 2, Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership) (left photo) and Woo Ho Yan (Year 1, Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership) (right photo) won the Kyorugi Men’s Black Belt (under 74kg) and the Kyorugi Women’s Black Belt (under 67kg) respectively.

Bronze medals were won by Chan Kin Hei (Year 2, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History) in the Kyorugi Men’s Black Belt (under 63kg) and Matthew Lee Wai-hang (Year 1, Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Business Psychology) in the Kyorugi Men’s Black Belt (above 87kg).

LU athletes also performed well in the USFHK Karate Competition, where Cheung Chun Man (Year 4, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History) was 2nd runner-up in the Men's Kumite (+75kg), and Lai Chun Hai (Year 3, Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Sports Coaching and Event Management) in the Individual Kata.

At the 61st USFHK Annual Athletic Meet held on 5 March 2023, member of the Lingnan University Track & Field team Zion Wong Shek-on (Year 2, Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership) won the 400m event clocking 49.99 seconds.
