“Alumni Homecoming Weekend 2023”, the annual signature alumni event for all Lingnanians, will take place on 29 and 30 July on the theme “Lingnan Fun Fair”, providing an opportunity for Lingnanians to reconnect with their alma mater, and the University hopes that graduates from different years will be able to get together to enjoy the various reunion activities during their two-day stay.
As well as being able to spend a night at the hostels on campus to relive their memories of university life, a wide variety of activities will be available to alumni and their families and friends, including DIY workshops, a flea market, mobile book stalls, food trucks, and outdoor snack booths. We will also open our sports facilities for exercise and fun.
Highlights of this year's homecoming event are the photo checkpoints. Participants will receive a surprise gift when the mission is completed, and also an invitation to join the opening ceremony party at Tai Ning Hall, the students’ canteen, where there will be refreshments and performances and, afterwards, a traditional Chinese meal at Lingnan House.
This year, a local heritage tour hosted by alumni will visit historical sites and landmarks, and then there will be a traditional poon choi at Ping Shan.
