Successful Opening Ceremony of 2025 Lingnan - Yuanpei STEM Summer Academy

Jointly organised by Yuanpei College (Yuanpei) of Peking University (PKU) and Lingnan University, the 2025 Lingnan - Yuanpei STEM Summer Academy performed the opening ceremony on 28 April online with a hybrid venue at the PKU Russian Building. Over 50 leaders, experts, and students from both universities attended the event, officiated by Prof Li Donghui, Associate Vice-President (Experiential Learning Projects), Prof Chen Xi, Dean of School of Interdisciplinary Studies of Lingnan University, Mr Li Boqiao, Vice Dean of Yuanpei and Ms Qi Liping, Manager of Office of General Affairs of Yuanpei of PKU. The ceremony was moderated by Mr Cao Yijian, residential education tutor of Yuanpei of PKU.

United in excellence: The Faculty of Business leads a delegation to Jiangxi for better collaboration in talent cultivation

The Faculty of Business of Lingnan University hosted the Jiangxi Visit and Undergraduate Admission Talks from 19 to 27 April. The delegation, led by Prof Leng Mingming, Dean of the Faculty of Business, visited the cities of Nanchang, Jiujiang, and Lushan to publicise undergraduate programmes and hold discussions with local education authorities. Members of the delegation included associate deans, department heads and the Director of the Research Institute.

Lingnan University organises a professional exchange in elderly care to lobby for the collaborative development of institutions in the Greater Bay Area

Lingnan University organised the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Elderly Care Professionals Exchange and Service Improvement Activity” from 25 to 26 April, which was attended by representatives from 11 of the main elderly care service centres and social work organisations in the Greater Bay Area, and provided a knowledge exchange and business learning platform for stakeholders to raise the overall quality of elderly care services in the region.

Sustainability in Action: Lingnan University Hosts Green Job Expo 2025

The Science Unit of Lingnan University joined hands with A Plastic Ocean Foundation to host the “Sustainability & Green Job Expo 2025” on campus on 15-16 April. The event brought together a diverse range of green industry organisations to engage with Lingnan students, faculty, and the wider public.

The expo aimed to showcase the evolving green industry and equip students with practical ESG skills for the global workplace, promoting the principles of sustainable development.
