Highlights of 25/26

International Conference 2025

WBLMP successfully hosted our first international conference, Arts for Wellbeing: Creativity, Adaptability, Sustainability, on 6 February 2026 at Lingnan@WestKowloon, M+, Hong Kong. We brought together leading experts and scholars for in-depth discussions on the theoretical, pedagogical, and practical aspects of holistic wellbeing. More Cultural Exchange Opportunities

Our Unit has offered more exchange opportunities to enrich students’ learning. 

In Summer Institute 2026, supported by the Office of Service-Learning, the Unit organized an exchange tour to Dali, Yunnan. We liaised with Dali University and enabled our students to run workshops at a local vocational school, where students do not receive any music training in their regular timetable. The Unit also expanded our collaboration with institutions in the Greater Bay Area. In 24/25, we only took students from the Instrumental Ensemble to Zhuhai for an exchange visit with Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). This year (25/26), we also worked with their sister school, Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai), and took both our ensembles—Choral Ensemble and Instrumental Ensemble—for an exchange. New MPA Elective Course on Creative Music technology

Following our second minor programme, Creative Technologies in Music and Community, launched in 24/25. This year we offered a new MPA elective, MPA2003 The AI Band: Creativity, Marketing, and Technology.
