Lingnan University strengthens cooperation with Peking University, Northeastern University, and Beijing Technology and Business University

Prof S. Joe Qin, President of Lingnan University, led a delegation to Shenyang and Beijing from 14 to 16 September. In Shenyang, President Qin was invited to participate in a series of events, including the centennial celebration of Northeastern University, and signed cooperation agreements on student exchange and with the State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries of Northeastern University.

 

 

President Qin also delivered a keynote speech on “135 Years of Internationalised Education at Lingnan University” at the Chinese-Foreign University Presidents Forum 2023 organised by Northeastern University. He talked about Lingnan’s century-old school history, features of its liberal arts education, the latest developments, and the University’s new outlook and the strategies it will pursue in the AI era.

 

 

In Beijing, President Qin and his delegation met with President and Fellow Gong Qihuang of Peking University, and Prof Guo Jianhua, President of Beijing Technology and Business University. They discussed scientific collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, and talent cultivation.

 

 

The three-day visit and exchange activities have increased the impact and reputation of Lingnan University, and further strengthened its partnership with Peking University, Northeastern University, and Beijing Technology and Business University, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
