Lingnan elite student-athlete Yuen Wing-ki receives a bronze medal at the NGD

Lingnan University elite student-athlete Yuen Wing-ki won a bronze medal for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in the Women’s Table Tennis Doubles (Class TT5) at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (NGD). Her brilliant performance also sets a record for Lingnan’s outstanding sporting achievements.
Animation and Digital Arts year 2 student, Yuen Wing-ki said: “This medal represents the reward for years of training. I overcame serious challenges in my personal situation and sporting life with the active encouragement from my coach and teammates, as well as the generous support provided by Lingnan University, which helped me focus fully on training and competing in peak condition. My passion for table tennis remains unchanged. I truly believe that a strong, steady belief eventually leads to good result.”
Wing-ki suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, but this has not diminished her dedication to table tennis. In recent years, she has achieved excellent results in international competitions, including placing third in the ITTF Asian Para Championships 2025, Mixed Doubles XD10.
