Mr Andrew Yao Cho-fai re-appointed as Chairman of the Council

Mr Andrew Yao Cho-fai has been re-appointed as Chairman of the Council and an ex-officio member of the Court of Lingnan University for a further term of three years, effective from 1 January 2026, by Mr John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR and Chancellor of Lingnan University.
“We are delighted that Mr Andrew Yao has been re-appointed as Chairman of the Council, which reflects full recognition of his exceptional leadership and forward-thinking vision for the University,” said Prof S. Joe Qin, President and Wai Kee Kau Chair Professor of Data Science at Lingnan University. “We look forward to continuing to advance Lingnan University to new heights in research and innovation under Chairman Yao’s leadership.”
Meanwhile, Ms Samantha Ho Shuk-yee have been appointed as a member of the Council and an ex-officio member of the Court for a term of three years, effective from 1 January 2026.
Mr Douglas Lee Kin-tak, Mr Allister Ng Kwai-hang, and Mrs Peggy Zee Shun-tsin have been newly appointed as members of the Court. Mr Chan Ka-yun, Dr Li Shing-sun, Mr Toby Lo Chun-yu, and Dr Simon Wu Chi-wai have been re-appointed as members of the Court. The term of office is three years, effective from 1 January 2026.
