Professional experience sharing with delegation from Christ University of India

A delegation of academic leaders from Christ University of India visited Lingnan University on 19 October, attending a lecture and conducted professional experience sharing with Vice-President Prof Joshua Mok Ka-ho on effective university governance in Hong Kong.

During the sharing session, Prof Mok made a presentation entitled “The Quest for Effective University Governance: The Hong Kong Experience” for the delegates.  He said, “Engaging academic leaders across different parts of the world in professional experience sharing is central to the mission of Lingnan because we truly believe in promotion of better understanding not only within the region but across different parts of the globe, and we welcome more collaboration with colleagues from India in higher education management and governance, as it is core to the research and knowledge transfer mission of the University.”

Dr Anil Pinto, Registrar from Christ University pointed out that the delegation enjoyed very much the lecture and exchange with faculty members of Lingnan, especially both universities share the same educational philosophy for promoting whole-person development for students.  The delegation also visited the Office of Service-Learning, exchanging experiences in mounting service-learning programmes for enhancing student learning experiences.
