Lingnan officially unveils 60th/140th anniversary logo

The anniversary logo is based on the winning design by graduating student Alissa Tang Jueying (Film and Visual Arts), which was selected through campus and stakeholder voting and judging panel review. Pictured here is the refined version that will be used in 2027.
To mark the major milestones of Lingnan University’s 60th anniversary of reestablishment in Hong Kong in 2027 and the 140th anniversary of its founding in Guangzhou in 2028, the University has officially unveiled its anniversary logo, kicking off a series of celebratory events set to begin next year.
The anniversary logo centres around a minimalist numerical design that cleverly connects the two anniversaries. Embedded in the centre of the golden digit “0” is the Lingnan emblem, its subtle gradient effects reflecting the liberal arts spirit of inclusivity, openness, and infinite possibilities. Bright, elegant red and gold tones weave celebratory energy and outstanding achievements together, and the design will highlight the golden digit “60” in 2027 and “140” in 2028. Below the logo, “SINCE 1888” is engraved, commemorating Lingnan’s establishment in 1888.
During the upcoming anniversary years, this anniversary logo will be widely used across the University’s official platforms, celebratory events, and commemorative merchandise, serving as the core visual symbol of Lingnan’s dual anniversaries.
